Bob Cearley has served as a trial lawyer in Little Rock, Arkansas for over 50 years and is certified in civil trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocates. His areas of practice include plaintiff’s personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, product liability, and commercial litigation.
Bob Cearley is a past president of the Arkansas Bar Association and has been elected by his peers to the American Board of Trial Advocates, American College of Trial Lawyers, and International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has served on the Board of Governors of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, which recognized him with its Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award in 1997.
His career has included many notable cases: he was lead counsel in McLean v. Arkansas Board of Education, 529 F.Supp 1255 (E.D. Ark. 1982) (the “Creation Science Case”), which invalidated state law mandating the teaching of “Creation Science” in Arkansas public schools. His cases involving catastrophic injuries caused by air rifles have been featured on ABC’s 20/20 and in Lawyer’s Weekly and ATLA Products Liability Law Reporter.
